Kate Winslet was traumatized when her pet hamster ate its babies.

The Oscar-winning actress has revealed how she was left suffering from repetitive nightmares as a child after her family refused to listen to veterinary advice and her furry pet killed its offspring.

“When I was a kid, one of our hamsters suddenly gave birth — we didn’t even know she was pregnant,” Kate told Empire magazine.

“We phoned the pet shop and they said, ‘Take the babies away — hamsters get very frightened after they’ve given birth and you don’t want her to eat the babies.’

“We didn’t listen and that’s exactly what happened. This obviously affected me badly as I had a recurring dream about hamsters gobbling up their babies until I was about 15.”

A couple weeks ago, a controversial comparison between the plight of Palestinians living under Israeli occupation and that of the Na'vi people featured in the hit movie "Avatar."

On Friday, Palestinians in the West Bank dressed up as the blue natives of the planet Pandora for their weekly protests against the Israeli occupation.

At first protesters look like they're having fun.

But the Na'vi costumes failed to impress the Israeli soldiers, who fired teargas at them.

I went today to watch 2012 The Movie and it was worth it !!!

You can see the whole world "aka America) falling apart "literally" falling apart, cities crumbled, tsunamis, angry volcanoes, cars crashed down, earthquakes, a mass hysteria comes all the way down to world where the apocalyps was totally nigh in this great flick, where it shows that the world comes to an end in 21/12/2012.

It looked pretty much to me like The Day After Tomorrow movie The Day After Tomorrow, though the intentions in this movie were to create the disaster movie itself that will end all disaster movies, with the great view of the catastrophe as it unfolds.

Yes, it's a bit stupid, but accept 2012 for what it is - a two-and-a-half hour where you DEFINITELY will leave the movie theater with a bug shock on your face.

This considered to be one of my favorite places to shop at, the staff there are very attentive (Unlike other Azadea's staff), it's affordable, not CHINESE-made garments and you can have a one of a kind prices whenever they have a clearance going on ...

A fashion insider told me today Azadea is closing it and replacing it with another branch of Stradivarius and Mango, because OVS sales are not doing fine as much as the others, for example Bershka which "recently" considered to be No. 1 seller clothes shop, which has sold a whopping 34,000 JD's in Eid's eve only !!!

And OVS was the least store to sell from Azzadea's stores (Zara, Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear, Bershka Mango, Stradivarius, Singways, Xanaka, Pimkie, Promod and OVS) !!!

As a matter of face, this is Azadea's 2nd store to shut down after Cool Cat.

I have always been amazed by Photoshop Disasters and I also have been amazed by the fact of how such big corporates can use photoshop programs as a marketing tool and end up in a very disgraceful and unprofessional situation.

Nothing in the world is worse than misusing photoshop programs, you should sincerely try to avoid such a humiliating disaster on your homepage !!! I don't know if they meant to locate the hotel in a better place where "non-friendly with technology" people, can still notice that the establishment was taken from a place and got located in a whole another one using computers brushes.

I came across this website today and all what I could've thought about was "such a disaster must be outted from its closet to the whole world, so they can see how bad it is"

I keep an eye on the ads published in the Jordanian newspapers and magazines and I keep an eye on how much the companies spend on their ads like Zain, Umniah, Orange, Arab Bank and Safeway.

And back then when I was working in Safeway's marketing team, I had a report illustrates all of big companies and their share in the newspaper, the funny thing is, Zain has never ever booked a page that is less than half colored page in any media tools, especially for their crappy and stupid totally unneeded promotions

Today while I was reading Al-Ghad, boom ... they put a 15 cm ad that tells something really important for those poor Zain subscribers who are about to face an annoying and yet not new disconnection in the network that might last for 10 days !!! and still they threw that important ad in the corner of the page, not taking in consideration those poor 2-million-claimed customers !!!

What a nice jump into the professional customer service world !!!

What Is HIV?
HIV is a virus that attacks the body's immune system - the body's defence against diseases. The latest research suggests that between 70 and 90 per cent of people may experience symptoms of infection a few days after having been infected. Three symptoms occurring together: fever, rash and a severe sore throat should always be considered a potential indicator of HIV infection.
These symptoms usually disappear within two or three weeks. Other people may not have symptoms to start with. In all cases, without effective treatment the immune system will eventually become very weak and no longer be able to fight off illnesses.

Are HIV and AIDS the same?
No. When someone is described as living with HIV, they have the HIV virus in their body. A person is considered to have developed AIDS when the immune system is so weak it can no longer fight off a range of diseases with which it would normally cope.

I don't know anyone with HIV... do I?
There are approximately 80,000 people living with HIV in the UK and about a third of these don't know that they are infected. The epidemic is still growing in the UK with around 7,000 new diagnoses every year. Even if someone you know is living with HIV, they may not feel able to tell you.

Is there a cure for HIV?
No, but treatment can keep the virus under control and the immune system healthy. People on HIV treatment can live a healthy, active life, although they may experience side effects from the treatment. If HIV is diagnosed late, treatment may be less effective in preventing AIDS.

What's it like living with HIV?
If people with HIV are diagnosed early and respond to treatment they can be healthy, work and have relationships like anyone else and have a long life expectancy.

Coming to terms with an HIV diagnosis and getting used to treatment can be very difficult however, and people living with HIV will often need support from healthcare providers, friends and family, employers and support organisations.

Why do people find it hard to tell others they are HIV positive?
People living with HIV may find it hard to tell others about their condition as they worry that people will reject them, or they will experience prejudice from friends, family and colleagues. People living with HIV can also experience discrimination in their workplace, in healthcare settings (e.g., GPs and dentists), from members of their local community and through the media.

HIV prejudice is often the result of ignorance about how HIV is passed on and unfounded fear of becoming infected. Encouraging those around us to talk about HIV and find out the facts can help overcome this.

This might be old, but it's one of the most entertaining and cleverest advertisement war I've ever ever ever seen in my life, as I used to read "all" Jordanian newspaper back in time in Safeway -TSC, I was taken by surprise when Jordanian telecommunication companies Umniah and Zain promotion war began.

The Story began as Zain promoted its new "Zain 5" line

This line gives the subscriber 5 numbers to call all free to any Zain line assigned by the customer, with 1 JD subscription weekly, that makes it 4 JD monthly.

And the taarif on other networks is 5 piasters per min.

The day after Umanih promoted its new line "The Impossible Line".

This line gives the subscriber 10 numbers to call all free to any Umniah line assigned by the customer, with 1 JD subscription monthly.

And the tariff on other networks is 5 piasters per min and 1 piaster only, to any Umniah line.

Plus it deals with seconds instead of minutes.

The day after Zain replied:

While Umanih's reply was as follows;Orange (Oh yeah is it still there?) on the other hand, tried to get in this competition by giving 100% free additional credit on anytime you recharge.

Who won ??? Umniah sold a whoopee 12,000 SIM card the first day ALONE !!! And they ran out of SIM cards in a week, While Zain is still begging people to buy the line that it promoted till now, by sending reminders to the customers about "Zain 5" .

CNN's holographic election coverage is fancy pantsy, but how did they manage to send 3D 360 degree footage of virtual correspondent Jessica Yellin from Chicago all the way to the station's election center in NY? As Arthur C. Clarke says, Magic. A magic made possible from technology Vizrt and SportVu with the help of forty-four HD cameras and twenty computers

On the subject's side:

• 35 HD cameras pointed at the subject in a ring

• Different cameras shoot at different angles (like the matrix), to transmit the entire body image

• The cameras are hooked up to the cameras in home base in NY, synchronizing the angles so perspective is right

• The system is set up in trailers outside Obama and McCain HQ

• Not only is it mechanical tracking via camera communication, there's infrared as well

• Correspondents see a 37-inch plasma where the return feed of the combined images are fed back to them. Useful for a misplaced hair or an unseemly boogar

• Twenty "computers" are crunching this data in order to make it usable

On the HQ side:

• Only used on two out of 40-something total camera feeds that CNN has

• Wolf Blitzer really loves it (or loves Jessica Yellin): It's still Jessica Yellin and you look like Jessica Yellin and we know you are Jessica Yellin. I think a lot of people are nervous out there. All right, Jessica. You were a terrific hologram.
• The delay is either minimal, or we've gotten used to satellite delay that we don't even notice now

• An array of computers takes the crunched info feed from the subject's side in order to mesh it with the video from Wolf's side.

• Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the images are actually "projected" onto the floor of the CNN studio so that Wolf can actually talk to the person, you know, in a face to face. So it's not quite Star Wars just yet. Only after computers merge the video feeds together do you get a coherent hologram + person scenario
