This might be old, but it's one of the most entertaining and cleverest advertisement war I've ever ever ever seen in my life, as I used to read "all" Jordanian newspaper back in time in Safeway -TSC, I was taken by surprise when Jordanian telecommunication companies Umniah and Zain promotion war began.
The Story began as Zain promoted its new "Zain 5" line
This line gives the subscriber 5 numbers to call all free to any Zain line assigned by the customer, with 1 JD subscription weekly, that makes it 4 JD monthly.And the taarif on other networks is 5 piasters per min.
The day after Umanih promoted its new line "The Impossible Line".
This line gives the subscriber 10 numbers to call all free to any Umniah line assigned by the customer, with 1 JD subscription monthly.
And the tariff on other networks is 5 piasters per min and 1 piaster only, to any Umniah line.
Plus it deals with seconds instead of minutes.

While Umanih's reply was as follows;Orange (Oh yeah is it still there?) on the other hand, tried to get in this competition by giving 100% free additional credit on anytime you recharge.
Who won ??? Umniah sold a whoopee 12,000 SIM card the first day ALONE !!! And they ran out of SIM cards in a week, While Zain is still begging people to buy the line that it promoted till now, by sending reminders to the customers about "Zain 5" .
